Single-knit describes a fabric constructed as one knitted layer rather than a double-knit or air-layer structure. This gives A3397 a more flexible, body-following character while its substantial weight and spandex content provide support and coverage.
At approximately 290 g/m², A3397 provides substantial coverage and a supported silhouette. It creates more body than lightweight T-shirt fabrics while retaining the flexibility needed for close-fitting pants and athletic jackets.
A3397 has a single-knit construction that offers more flexible drape and closer body conformity. Double-knit and air-layer fabrics generally provide greater thickness, structural body and insulation. A3397 is suitable when brands want a substantial fabric without the bulk of a layered construction.
Buyers should test needle selection, stitch elasticity, seam recovery and edge curling before production. Finished samples should also be checked for dimensional stability, surface appearance and recovery at high-movement areas such as the knees, elbows and shoulders.
Buyers should confirm the composition, colour, soft hand feel, nominal weight, usable width, stretch, recovery, opacity and dimensional stability. MOQ, bulk lead time and required colourfastness or performance standards should be agreed before the order is placed.
