An air-layer fabric uses a structured, spacer-style construction that creates internal space between its two surfaces. This air-containing middle layer gives the fabric more volume, cushioning and shape than a conventional flat knit while retaining the flexibility required for activewear.
Unlike a conventional flat polyester-spandex jersey, A3217 has an air-layer construction that provides additional thickness, volume and structural stability. Combined with its 290 g/m² weight and 23% spandex content, it offers substantial coverage without relying on a brushed or fleece surface.
A3217 is recommended for yoga pants, fitness leggings, cycling shorts, sports bras, fitted jackets and structured outdoor activewear. Its air-layer body also makes it suitable for coordinated sets requiring both flexible movement and a substantial silhouette.
Yes. Buyers can request available swatches or sample yardage to assess the double-sided appearance, softness, drape, weight, stretch, recovery and sewing performance. A finished garment prototype is recommended to evaluate seam bulk, silhouette and wearing comfort.
Buyers should provide the selected colour, estimated quantity, garment application, required recycled-content documents, testing standards, destination and delivery schedule. They should also state whether they need sample yardage, custom dyeing or a Transaction Certificate so MOQ, price and lead time can be calculated accurately.
