A2550 combines a substantial 240 g/m² construction with a single-sided brushed finish. Unlike smooth activewear fabrics, it provides added softness on one side while retaining a different surface character on the reverse, giving garment developers greater flexibility in skin-contact comfort and exterior appearance.
The brushed side can be positioned against the skin when the design requires a softer and more comfortable interior. However, the final orientation should be confirmed through garment sampling because appearance, seam construction and the intended end use may influence which side is selected.
A2550 is recommended for stretch trousers, fitted jackets and athleisure separates. It may also be evaluated for coordinated sets that require a substantial structure, flexible movement and a soft inner surface.
Buyers should assess surface softness, brushing uniformity, fibre shedding, pilling, colour appearance and changes after washing. The direction and visual consistency of the brushed surface should also be checked across the usable fabric width.
Yes. Buyers can request available swatches or sample yardage to evaluate the two different surfaces, hand feel, weight, stretch, recovery, drape and sewing performance. A finished trouser or jacket sample is recommended before bulk approval.
