A2449 combines a polyester-spandex composition with a semi-dull surface and warp-knitted construction. It offers a more balanced appearance than highly reflective swimwear fabrics and can provide greater structural stability than loosely constructed stretch knits.
Semi-dull describes a surface with controlled, moderate light reflection. It is less reflective than glossy or shiny swimwear fabric but not as completely low-lustre as a fully matte fabric, giving finished garments a balanced and versatile appearance.
A2449 is a 180 g/m² semi-dull warp-knit made from 86% polyester and 14% spandex. A2518 is a heavier 200 g/m² matte fabric made from 80% nylon and 20% spandex. A2449 is more suitable when a polyester base, moderate lustre and slightly lighter construction are preferred, while A2518 offers a fuller matte appearance and more substantial weight.
We can provide available test records or discuss additional testing based on your target market and required standards. Please share the destination market and specific testing requirements with our team for confirmation.
Buyers should confirm the composition, colour, semi-dull appearance, hand feel, nominal weight, usable width, stretch, recovery and wet and dry opacity. Required chlorine, seawater, rubbing and light colourfastness standards should also be specified, and an approved physical sample should be retained as the bulk inspection reference.
