Rib-knit fabric features raised vertical ribs created through alternating knit and purl structures. This gives A3067 a distinctive textured appearance and flexible stretch suitable for close-fitting yoga and activewear tops.
Unlike a smooth jersey or interlock surface, A3067 has a visible rib texture that adds depth and structure to the garment. It is suitable for brands looking to create yoga tops with a more distinctive surface appearance.
The rib-knit structure allows the fabric to follow the body while maintaining a textured surface. The final fit will depend on pattern reduction, garment construction and the direction in which the pattern pieces are cut.
The rib direction should remain consistent across the garment, especially at the front, back and side seams. Pattern alignment and cutting direction should be checked carefully to avoid visible distortion or mismatched ribs.
We recommend evaluating stretch recovery, dimensional stability, spirality, seam appearance, colour consistency and rib definition. Testing after washing is especially important for confirming whether the garment maintains its shape and texture.
